This player started out playing soccer with Monasterevin AFC at a very young age, also playing with the local Community Games teams in Monasterevin. At that time she was putting the ball in the net as a forward rather than keeping it out. She won numerous playing accolades with the Monasterevin underage girls teams, which got her on the first ever KDUL u14 girls team to go to the Gaynor Cup, the KDUL team winning the Gaynor Shield in Limerick. She continued to play underage with Monasterevin and joined up with some of her old teammates when the Womens team in Monasterevin reformed in 2021. The team had no dedicated goalkeeper and this player took on this role and she had an outstanding season, culminating with a clean sheet in the 2021 KDFL Cup final. She has been ever present between the posts this season for Monasterevin AFC and she is having a terrific season which has helped her team to be currently placed 2nd in the KDFL Womens Division. A well deserved award for Alice Breen Monasterevin AFC. Congrats Alice from all of us. Alice is seen here accepting her awards from ISRS Kildare/Laois Branch Chairman Alan Finn at last evening July Council in the Keadeen Hotel.
